My point of view about the video: "Discrimination in Colombia".

I think that discrimination in Colombia is an unjustified problem, considering our history. If Colombian society had in mind that we all come from the same slave families, inter-ethnic prejudices would end. I was struck by the fact that 2 out of 100 young African descent go to college, that makes us think that education is poor for this ethnic group, so in my opinion, these statistics should lead the ministry of education to reflection. Finally I think that in Colombia, given that we are a leading a racially diverse country, there should be no discrimination, which should be reflected in education, political affairs and employment opportunities. 1. Hi ben, I also saw the video, and it was unbeliveable. I was wondering if you have an idea about why people keep thinking in that old-fashioned way of racism, and what can be a solution to that?

    1. If you let me answer the question, I think people don't recieve a well education at home. Values are in oblivion. We have to promote the idea That we have to appreciate others like a family

  2. I agree with Christina, the values that come from family are important to get over the racism. We need a fast solution to finish this kind of discrimination. We can start notice that each person is different and trying to respect to person. We should try make the exercise one day, then the next day, then all week and it will make an habit.

  3. Yes, those statistics are quite striking. The unequal access to resources like a good education is a serious problem.
